Cover Supervisor

We require from September 2012 a well organised person to be part of a team of Cover Supervisors contributing to the work of the college by ensuring purposeful learning in lessons. This involves being responsible for the supervision of classes in the absence of a teacher. You will need to have good ICT skills and be very flexible, as the position will also require a variety of roles to be covered from time to time, including lunch, administration and invigilation duties.

Previous experience in schools is not necessary, as training will be provided. However, you will need to be confident in your own ability to instruct and control a class in the absence of their regular teacher. A good standard of education and an interest in young people and how they learn is essential.
