Community Transport (Spelride) Driver

Spelride provides ‘door to door’ transport for people who are unable to access usual forms of community transport.

We need a full time driver to help us provide this service. You will be required to pick up and transport elderly residents around the borough. In return we offer a competitive salary and benefits.

You will hold a full clean, manual driving licence and be able to drive a mini bus, for which an assessment will be undertaken.

Training will be provided in assisting wheelchair passengers and elderly walking clients. Local knowledge of the borough will be an advantage as would and a PSV driving licence is desirable.

It is a requirement that the postholder has a current Emergency First Aid at Work or First Aid at Work Certificate. If required, training will be provided.

The post will be subject to an enhanced criminal record check.
