We are currently recruiting a Community Regeneration Co-ordinator to join our successful Communications and Governance team and help deliver the best housing services in Tower Hamlets by 2014. By 2014 we will:

  • achieve the highest rate of resident satisfaction
  • have the highest performance for the money we spend
  • ease overcrowding through reducing under-occupation and illegal sub-letting by a third
  • have a workforce that reflects the community we serve through creating opportunities for BME staff and Women staff to progress into more senior positions.

About the role:

Working closely with residents, internal colleagues and external partners, you will develop and deliver a range of community initiatives that respond to local needs. You will be responsible for setting up and managing partnerships, developing and delivering community projects, developing and overseeing strategy and fund-raising, voluntary sector support and community development work. You will build and sustain strong relationships with local stakeholders, authorities, and voluntary and community sector organisations.

About the candidate:

You will have experience of delivering community regeneration schemes. You will have previously worked in the field of community regeneration, where you will have gained experience in developing local services in partnership with local partners. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to articulate a vision and ensure buy in from a range of partners. You will have highly developed project management skills that will enable you to oversee the effective delivery of programmes and activities that are commissioned both internally and externally.
