Reading Borough Council is looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our Choice Based Lettings team. The main focus of the role will be to assess applications to the Housing Register for rehousing and to administer the letting of housing following the Choice Based Letting bidding process.

Experience of undertaking comprehensive assessments and making judgements and decisions in line with set criteria is an advantage.

You will need to have a good understanding of housing issues and an awareness of the impact that housing has in building strong and sustainable communities.You will need to be organised and methodical and have the confidence to work on your own initiative.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are key, you must be willing to work in a pressured environment working to tight deadlines to ensure that properties are let efficiently.
