Cemetery Officer

The successful applicant will have at significant practical experience of the bereavement industry. All applicants must have a good standard of education with Maths and English or Welsh to at least GCSE level. The main duties of this post will be to carry out a full range of burial related duties including monitoring current practice, monitoring health and safety issues in cemeteries, administration of the headstone permit system, carrying out headstone inspections and liaising with funeral directors as appropriate. The successful candidates will play an important part in raising the standard of skill and service provided to the community by the parks department The ability to communicate through the medium of English and Welsh is essential.
