Main Purpose Of Job

The successful post holder will be responsible for Health and Safety and Hygiene Regulations within the kitchen and surrounding areas. Demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) procedures when receiving, presenting and delivering the meals. Undertaking a variety of manual tasks associated with food production and service. Use their initiative within a broad range of duties, be able to work as part of a team. Prepare counters and dining areas for service. Preparation and setting out of the salad bar, service of hot and cold food and beverages, replenishing of counters, clearing and cleaning counters of debris during service, clearing and cleaning of counters and service equipment, clearing and cleaning of tables after service, keep stock of dry goods store and refrigerated cabinets and report to Catering Manager at main production kitchen.

This post will involve some lone working may be required to take responsibility for day-to-day supervision and direction of other team members. Be aware and respond to the clients needs in respect of special meal arrangements i.e. likes, dislikes and special diets and be responsible for portion control. Some of the tasks associated with this position require dexterity and the use of manual handling techniques.
