Accounting Services Assistant (P01163)

Reporting to the Financial Systems & Controls Manager, you will be responsible for processing cheque and cash transactions using the Capita system and to reconcile the council’s revenue systems to ensure the correct allocation of cash to various funds. You will also be responsible for processing all Council Tax and Business Rates requests for refund and write offs.

Experience of ledger accounts, cash payments and receipts is essential. Excellent communication skills are essential together with the ability to work effectively within finance. You must be able to process information accurately and within specific time frame.

Due to the nature of the post, you must be able to work in the morning (ideally between 9:30am and 1:30pm Monday to Friday).

Interviews will take place week commencing 1 July 2013
