EAL & LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT
Required as soon as possible

GRADE: APTC SCALE 2, Points 11-13
SALARY: £9,584 – £9,999 p.a. Pay and grading review pending
25 HOURS PER WEEK / 39 WEEKS PER YEAR

King’s Wood School & Specialist Technology College wishes to appoint an EAL & Learning Support Assistant to join our Support Faculty. It is not essential for applicants to have experience of working with pupils but they must be willing to undertake training and have an interest in this area of education.

The role will include in-class support, one-to-one withdrawal to work on basic English and giving practical support with understanding school systems and to aid the students to learn effectively in all support situations on their own. The successful applicant will work under the direction of the EAL Co-ordinator and SENCO.
