With our help – and your expertise – people with mental health problems can live ordinary lives within the community. It’s a case of co-ordinating the various social inclusion provider services within Havering Mental Health Services. By using your expertise to make sure they’re integrated, you could make all the difference to some of our most vulnerable residents.
Your main task will be to manage, lead and support our Social Inclusion Provider Team. To make the best use of resources, you’ll need to plan carefully, while developing networks with other community partners.
However, you’ll need to be ready for some hands-on management too. Our Support, Time and Recovery Team will require your guidance and you’ll have overall responsibility for the day-to-day functioning of the service. With referrals to assess and community activities to develop, this is a key role in Havering.
It’s therefore important that you’re qualified (DipSW, RMN, DipOT or equivalent) and well versed in relevant legislation and social policy. An understanding of the needs of people with serious mental illness is clearly essential too. With this knowledge, plus your gift for communication and budget control, you’ll be capable of managing our multi-disciplinary teams.
