Assistant Laboratory Technician
Required for September Start
36 hours per week x 40 weeks per year
Salary : APTC3 (Points 14-17)
£15,005 to £15,949 per annum including London Weighting
The Chafford School is a popular, oversubscribed modern Secondary school. We are looking for a well organised individual to join our busy Science Department. Duties will include:
•Setting up for experiments and demonstrations
•Stock control
•Equipment maintenance
•Control and safe storage of chemicals used in class
•Adhering to Health & Safety procedures
Candidates should have good communication skills and an enthusiasm to support pupils and teachers. Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and a previous background in a similar environment would be advantageous.
The Chafford is situated in very pleasant landscaped grounds within minutes of good road (A13, M25) and rail (Fenchurch Street Line) links. Resources are excellent.
