As ‘Best Achieving Council in the UK, 2011‘, Harrow has a reputation of excellence to maintain. The Engineering Services unit has just begun a five year term contract with a leading UK service provider for civil engineering, public lighting and surfacing works.
As a result of recent changes, a new Contract Team has been created to provide a single point of contact for both clients and service provider.

We now need to recruit an experienced and well motivated professional to join the Contract Team and play a key part in helping us achieve excellent service delivery.

This post provides a contract management and works programming role to the Engineering Services unit and will be central to the effective management and delivery of all works programmes through the Highways Contract.

Working closely with the Engineering Services Manager, you will provide contract management expertise and co-ordinate the council’s global programme of planned and responsive engineering works. You will lead and manage the contract process, providing direction and expertise in all contract related matters, including performance management and representing the service at a senior level.

Educated to degree level and with a professional qualification associated with contract management, you will have experience in NEC3 based contract management, highway engineering or a construction-related discipline, together with programming and procurement for public realm works.
