In September 2012 we will launch a brand new operating model for the Children’s Centres provision moving to a Hub and Spoke model with delivery points providing efficient and effective delivery with a range of services across children’s centres. Joining us now will give you the opportunity to play a part in shaping our new service.
The Role
We are seeking to appoint a Hub Manager for one of the four Hub and Spoke: Hillview Children’s Centre Hub and Spoke (located in South Harrow and includes 3 other delivery sites in the geographical area: Earlsmead, Grange and Rayners Lane Centres).
We need an experienced and successful leader to:
• ensure the implementation of Harrow Council Children’s Centre Strategy at locality level through the effective co-ordination of strategic and operational leadership and management
• provide strong and visionary professional leadership to staff employed by the local authority, the partner agencies and organisations that contributes to the work of the Hub and Spoke model
• deliver improved outcomes for children and young people by establishing and sustaining a network of integrated services across the hub and spokes to meet the requirements of the Children’s Centre core offer and beyond
• work flexibly to suit service provision, including evenings and Saturdays as part of full time hours.
Requirements
You will have extensive proven Children’s Centre experience and experience of successful leadership and management across more than one site including distance management. We work as a network of centres, so you will need to have the ability to work closely with staff, the Council, partner agencies and Children’s Centres managers including the Hillview School Manager, other Hub Managers and Development Manager (income generation).
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is subject to a full CRB and qualifications check. Ref. CF-CC2392

Closing date: noon, 27th June.
Interviews: 20th July.
