Grade G £17,802 – £22,958

A vacancy has arisen for a full time position in SkillZONE Team within Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue Service based at SkillZONE, Tuffley Lane, Gloucester.

SkillZONE is a state-of-the-art life size village. It is a fully interactive learning environment to teach people of all ages how to recognise dangerous situations and stay safe.

There are 16 zones, which will cover a range of scenarios including road, rail and water safety, an internet cafe, as well as opportunities to cover home and personal safety

The post holder will be responsible for promoting Safety Education, supporting the delivery of Outreach Services and managing effective working relationships with volunteers.

The post holder will also deputise for the SkillZONE Manager in relation to facilities management during periods of absence.

The successful applicant will have a working knowledge and awareness of community safety related issues. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be confident in delivering presentations and demonstrations and have the ability to work on their own initiative. Previous experience in a post involving line management responsibilities is also essential for the role.
