We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Planner to work on various regional and strategic planning matters. The Regional Spatial Strategy for the South West is promoting unprecedented growth, including significant proposed Green Belt release around Cheltenham and Gloucester. This, combined with the emerging District Councils’ Local Development Frameworks, the associated Joint Core Strategy for the urban areas, major planning applications coming forward and the County Council led Strategic Infrastructure Delivery Plan has resulted in the need for a temporary officer to be put in place to assist with current workloads.
Situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, you will be part of a friendly team based in the heart of Gloucester. Together with excellent communication skills and relevant experience you should be eligible for membership of the RTPI.
Gloucestershire County Council offers an excellent benefits package including flexible working and child care vouchers.
