There are 475 looked after children in Gloucestershire. Each and every one of them deserves to be seen, heard and, most importantly, to have a good childhood which lays the foundations for successful adulthood. In these highly visible roles, you’ll help us realise our vision to ensure that every child thrives and reaches their full potential.
With a restructured Children and Young People’s Service, and newly created social worker posts, we’re making new and greater investments in our services to children in care. And, as a key member of our new management team, you’ll further our great start.
With overall responsibility for all of our looked after services, you’ll manage three children in care teams, three fostering teams, an adoption team and a support team. Leading and developing these services, as well as our Corporate Parenting Strategy, is a significant task – but your experience as a team or service manager in children’s social care, or championing children in care will stand you in good stead.
