Much of the teams work is focused on recruiting, assessing and supporting permanent carers and adopters who can provide permanent homes for our looked after children. You will manage the countywide team who are responsible for all aspects of assessment, adoption support and placement support packages. In addition, you will oversee and review plans as well as hold key budget responsibly for these services. You will need experience in childcare planning.
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of Adoption and Childcare legislation, together with an understanding of Adoptions and Foster Care Standards. We are looking for someone with some management experience or an experienced practitioner keen to pursue their career into a managerial role.
