The University of Wolverhampton is now established as an accredited MPharm provider and will be sending out its third cohort of pharmacy graduates this summer.
An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and highly motivated clinical pharmacist to join us. You will play a key role in the development and delivery of the various clinical/practice related modules, hospital placement visits and interprofessional learning opportunities in the MPharm course, also contributing to the department’s research strategy. In addition you will be seconded one day per week to the Walsall Hospitals NHS Trust in order to fulfil a clinical practice role where you will also play a key part in driving their pharmacy department’s research and development initiative.
You will possess a high level of knowledge of the various issues involving hospital pharmacy and have significant practice experience (at least 2-3 years post registration). You will be able to produce high quality work both on your own and as part of a team and will ideally possess previous experience of teaching and/or training. A postgraduate diploma in clinical practice (or equivalent) is essential.
Successful candidates from the NHS sector will be able to transfer their NHS pension credits via the public sector ‘club scheme’. Academic staff at the University currently also enjoy a 7-week annual leave and 12-day ‘bank holiday’ entitlement.
