Applications are invited for the permanent position of 1.0fte Social Work Practice Learning Facilitator. You will join a team of Social Work lecturers and be engaged in the facilitation of all aspects of Social Work practice learning. You will be expected to work collaboratively with agency providers to provide placement opportunities for Social Work students and to support the training of Practice Educators and Supervisors. You will liaise with administrative colleagues to ensure a seamless process for our students while on placement. You will also have the opportunity to teach on undergraduate and post-qualifying awards and to contribute to teaching on the social work programme both generally as well as in your particular specialist area.

You must be a graduate or full PQ Award holder who is a registered Social Worker with the HCPC and should have practice experience to enrich the students’ knowledge and professional development. Social Work is a challenging and demanding profession and we are looking for an enthusiastic constructive and supportive team member who will be flexible and creative in their approach to enabling student’s learning, particularly in the practice setting. You will also need to demonstrate your ability to respond innovatively and in a timely manner to changes in social work provision and practice. Experience in education/training in Higher Education or in a professional context, a higher degree and teaching qualification would be advantageous.

This post is permanent, working 37 hours per week/1.0fte.

The post requires a DBS (formerly CRB) check.
