Senior Lecturer in Graphic Design (0.6fte)

We are keen to appoint a self-motivated, dynamic senior lecturer that is enthusiastic about the future of graphic design education, and has extensive knowledge of current commercial practice.

You will be expected to contribute to and develop further the established national reputation of Graphic Design at Staffordshire University, be ambitious and bring professional and academic networks that will support the experience and ambition of students.

You will be a practicing creative or senior lecturer with knowledge and understanding of the history, contemporary theory and practice within Graphic Design and visual communication. You will be able to teach across a range of established undergraduate modules as well as contributing to the curriculum your specialist interest in ideas generation and problem solving, typography, new media platforms, traditional craft skills and application of industry standard design software. It is expected that you will be able to contribute to developing knowledge transfer or research opportunities in the subject area, and enhance an existing culture of ‘live’ project work through links with industry.
