Professor in Events/Leisure/Sport

The School of Tourism is central to the ambitions of BU to strengthen a research-led, global outlook and further enhance its profile and building on its reputation for academic excellence. The School is seeking to appoint a Professor in the Events, Leisure or Sport area to help develop this strategic area of activity. The post is designed to help drive the research agenda forward in these areas and to grow the research capability of the School. The School will particularly welcome applicants who are able to develop a specific specialism within this broad area and who can work in an interdisciplinary capacity within and outside of the School.
You will provide academic and managerial leadership in the area of Events, Leisure or Sport, leading new areas of work and developing existing research activity and staff within the discipline area.
You will be qualified to Doctorate level or equivalent in a relevant field.
