The Institute of Criminal Justice Studies is one of the largest departments of its kind in the UK. The successful applicant for this post will be expected to contribute to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, teaching both campus based and distance learning students.
The person appointed will be expected to teach policing related topics within the broader framework of criminology and criminal justice. An ability to teach security issues in the broader framework of policing would be an advantage. There will be a requirement in addition to teaching and scholarship, actively to engage in relevant research and/or knowledge transfer activities.
Applicants should be educated at a minimum to Masters level and preferably Doctoral level. Knowledge or experience of recent developments in policing is an essential requirement of the post.
