Play a key part in building our range of courses.

At Stoke on Trent College, our Construction Section is going from strength to strength. We’re admired for our state-of-the-art training facilities and dynamic teaching team. This is your chance to use your broad industry knowledge and plastering expertise to expand our curriculum and further our achievements.

We’ll look to you to teach on programmes relating to plastering occupations while enabling the learning and progression of a diverse range of students. A confident communicator, you will be responsible for recruitment, enrolment, and the promotion of learning. At the same time, you’ll work with colleagues to develop and promote safety procedures.

Committed to the objectives of our strategic plan, you will also collaborate with the Directorate Management Team to introduce and implement short and self-financing courses.

You’ll come to us with significant industry experience of plastering, together, ideally, with knowledge or qualifications in other aspects of construction. You’ll definitely need NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds equivalent in plastering. You should also have or be willing to work towards qualified teacher status, such as Cert Ed, PGCE, or DTLLS.

It’s likely you’re a qualified assessor or verifier or willing to attain the qualifications. Whether you have teaching experience or not, you’ll naturally have the sympathetic and flexible approach that supports individual student achievement together with the ability to work as part of a team to develop teaching and learning resources.

Please note – this role will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure.
