We are keen to appoint an individual to teach and support the delivery of modules, both on campus and by distance learning, in the area of digital forensics and cyber security. You will be expected to contribute to the development and the delivery of academic provision on bespoke funded programmes and to undertake the relevant operational responsibilities associated with this.
We have an expanding programme of provision of teaching within the area of cyber security and digital forensics for the Ministry of Defence. This is non-HEFCE funded work largely taken by MOD staff via distance learning, although some is done face-to-face on campus and possibly at MOD sites. This post is to help us deliver on the programmes to the increased numbers of students.
You will have a first degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and ideally possess certifications in Ethical Hacking and the use of Encase and/or professional experience in the area. In addition, it is essential that you have a willingness to develop your knowledge into areas of network security covered by Cisco/Juniper syllabi, as this is expected in the longer term. Knowledge and understanding of computer hardware and systems software is also essential, along with excellent communication skills, a proven ability to deliver to students at all levels and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
This is a fixed term post for 2 years.
