Lecturer in Computer Games Programming and Development

The University of East London is a dynamic and rapidly expanding university at the heart of Europe’s largest regeneration area and adjacent to the site of the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics. UEL is in the top ten of modern (post-92) universities for research in the 2008 RAE exercise.

We are seeking a new colleague to join our vibrant Games Team in our School of Arts and Digital Industries. You will teach Computer Gameplay Programming and Computer Game Development at undergraduate level and contribute to our research and/or consultancy profile and contribute to course and module management.

You should be educated to degree level and hold a PhD (or be 6 months away from completion). You will have significant games industry experience as a programmer/developer, preferably with published titles to your credit. In-depth technical knowledge of software development tools, methodologies and processes, ideally in game production and of gameplay programming in C++ , C# or similar languages is essential. Knowledge of Unity 3D and producing 2D and 3D game assets and previous HE teaching experience are desirable.
