Newcastle Sixth Form College is looking for an outstanding teacher of Biology to join our dedicated and hard-working team. This post involves teaching and assessing on Biology courses across all levels of qualifications offered within the Sixth Form College including full and part time programmes, principally A Levels, HEFC and GCSE. Your hours of work will be flexible and may include evening and weekends according to student demand.

You will be responsible for monitoring attendance, retention and achievement. Moving through the enhanced (E) pay scale is dependent on successful achievement of appraisal targets and undertaking of additional responsibilities that support and enhance the teaching and learning process.

The successful candidate will have a related degree level qualification in a relevant curriculum area, a teaching qualification and be a member of the Institute for Learning (IfL).
