Location:Sandyford Campus, Sandyford Road, Newcastle upon Tyne
Based in the vibrant International Office, you will be interacting with prospective and current students every day. You will answer enquiries from International Students applying to the College, providing information about; courses, fees, entry requirements and UKBA guidelines. Working in line with UK Border Agency Policy, you will assess applications and verify supporting documents and issue offers accordingly.
This post involves working in a challenging office environment dealing with International students on a range of courses across the college. The ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Providing welfare support and advice to current students will be one of your main responsibilities. You will be involved with the enrolment and induction of new students and will assist with attendance issues where necessary. You will assist students with visa extension applications through the Student Batch Scheme, via regular workshops and one-to-one meetings.
Experience of working in international education would be advantageous, but not essential. You must have excellent communication skills, strong administrative and IT skills and be able to produce highly accurate documentation.
