Football Development Centre Head Coach

Sunderland College has a very successful Football Development Centre and it is looking to add an additional squad for 2013/14. There are also plans to develop a Women’s Football Development Centre and other football programmes across the College. In addition, a multi-million pound sports academy will open for September 2014. The sports academy boasts a four court sports hall, fitness suite, sports science laboratory, treatment room and classrooms. This new build will complement our existing outdoor provision which includes the ‘Goals’ soccer centre and excellent grass pitches. We are a college and a department going places, it’s no wonder we are excited about our future.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Head Coach who is supportive, creative and innovative with excellent interpersonal skills, and a sound understanding of current coaching strategies.

You should have achieved a Level 2 Football qualification and have a UEFA ‘B’ License. You should also be working or willing to work towards a UEFA ‘A’ License. You should also have experience of working with elite players, either in a club setting and/or a College environment.

Due to the nature of the post the successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure Check.
