Purpose / Objectives
To identify and secure new channels to market for UDOL in the UK and internationally to ensure that the business achieves its online student recruitment targets.To identify, manage and develop financially beneficial partnerships so that UDOL student recruitment opportunities are maximised.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Support the Head of UDOL in the development of new business models for UDOL to enhance the sustainability of the business. This to include undertaking research and analysis as required.2. Identify, develop and manage relationships with key partners to maximise online student recruitment opportunities, ensuring that all necessary background checks and due diligence has been undertaken prior to the appointment of a partner.3. Select, appoint and manage on-going relationships with agents for UDOL ensuring that all the necessary due diligence is undertaken.4. Line manage business development administration staff in a manner consistent with the University’s core values. 5. Manage the appointment of internationally based study centres including all quality assurance and commercial aspects working closely with relevant academic staff.6. Undertake appropriate market research to identify new markets and products and develop and implement suitable plans to penetrate the selected markets.7. Work closely with the UDOL marketing team in support of the development of UDOL’s marketing plans and share market intelligence to help determine new markets and how best to maximise online student recruitment opportunities in these markets.8. Deliver presentations and attend conferences/events both internally and externally (in the UK and overseas) as required to promote the UDOL brand.9. Develop and maintain a CRM system / plan to engage with partners and to ensure that all communications are logged against each client.10. Work collaboratively with other parts of the University, particularly the University’s International Department to determine and identify new international partners and to share market intelligence.11. Maintain an up to date market intelligence database for the online learning sector including competitor profiles.12. Undertake other duties as required that are consistent with the role.13. To provide regular management reports on performance against targets.
