You will be instrumental in managing the School’s research and externally funded financial resources in an administrative capacity.

Building on the School’s successful external income generation through knowledge transfer, business development and research contracts, you will support the delivery of projects with a key focus on research elements.

You will support the Language and Networks for Excellence and other staff to foster partnerships and create a climate of swift response on all external income generating initiatives. You will be required to undertake sophisticated internet searches and sift through data in order to select relevant income opportunities, therefore knowledge of sources of external income (public and private) and experience which supports income generation related activities and the delivery of these would be an advantage.

You will have experience of developing meaningful bid opportunities, together with excellent networking, interpersonal and presentational skills, You will also have the ability to work independently, as a team member with University colleagues as well as external clients. You will also be required to deliver various aspects of existing and new projects sourced from UK, European, and internationally.

You will have a degree or equivalent, very good written English ability and a good standard of communication. A postgraduate or professional qualification would be an advantage.
