Moorfield is a large centre accommodating up to 17 young people aged between 10 and 18 both male and female across our three units.
We aim to provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment with a child centred focus.
We promote positive attitudes throughout Moorfield based on mutual respect and equal opportunities.
We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic and committed individuals, who display a patient, caring and sensitive approach. You will have had experience of direct work with young people in our age range.
You will be able to communicate effectively with young people and have the ability to provide a wide range of skills in meeting their primary care needs.
Understand the physical, emotional and social needs of young people and their development.
Have ability in written and numeric skills.
Possess a full UK driving licence and be willing to take the councils people carrier test.
You will work as part of a team on a rota that includes evening and week end working.
Sleep in duties on a rota basis is a requirement for which an allowance is paid.
The successful applicant will receive a comprehensive induction, regular supervision and training opportunities.
Health and Social Care CYP NVQ3 is desirable or the commitment to study to achieve this.
Due to the nature of the post, and in line with National Minimum Standards, applicants must be 22 years of age or above.
