Location:86 Queensferry Gardens Children’s Home
The home is located in the Shelton Lock area of the City of Derby and looks after up to six young people between the ages of 12 and 18 on a mid to long term basis.
Our young people have had troubled and traumatic backgrounds and frequently display challenging behaviours.
The position is demanding, requiring patience, self control, dedication and resilience. The work is both emotionally and physically demanding as it can involve physical intervention.
We are looking to recruit a committed, motivated and pro-active residential child care worker who can provide young people with a high standard of care in a children’s home.
The successful applicant will receive induction, and training. It is a requirement that Residential Child Care Workers either hold or achieve an NVQ level 3 in Social Care
You will need to be able to work flexibly on a rota including late and early shifts, sleep-ins and weekends.
