Moorhead Primary is an enthusiastic learning environment. Every member of staff is focussed on giving our children the opportunities to develop educationally throughout the school from play and new learning experiences in our reception class to preparing for secondary education. Our visionary Head Teacher is retiring and the governors, children and parents would like a dynamic, enthusiastic and resourceful head to take over the leadership of the school.

We are based in an area with both local authority and private accommodation, our children’s abilities are very diverse and we need a head teacher who will embrace and nurture the abilities of pupils on all levels. We are currently in Special Measures mainly due to our pupil’s attainment levels and would look to the successful applicant having innovative strategic ideas on raising attainment and taking the school forward.

Our children would like a Head Teacher who is kind to the children, fun, polite, caring, happy and friendly and they would also like the person to have respect for everyone. We are proud of our school and keen to appoint the right person with the drive and commitment to build on our successes.
