Constitutional Services sits at the heart of Derby City Council’s political management structure, and is committed to providing a first class service to the city’s 51 councillors.
An opportunity has arisen for a Constitutional Services Officer to play a key role in delivering this service. Arranging meetings, compiling agendas, producing minutes and giving procedural advice to councillors will soon become second nature to the successful applicant.
As a career graded post, this role offers a terrific opportunity for progression in an environment that lends itself to personal development. The council is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and well-organised individual with the pride to deliver a quality service, a willingness to learn and the ambition to progress through the career grade. You must be able to work on weekday evenings as necessary.
The current structure of the team means that on this occasion we are recruiting at the lowest end of the career grade at Scale 4.
This is a politically restricted post under the terms of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989.
