Assistant Headteacher

We are looking to appoint an inspirational teacher who will be committed to the important role of managing the strategic development of learning in our school and will have responsibility for leading Key Stage 1 and with an interest in ICT and Learning to Learn.

Arboretum Primary is a 400 place primary school with a rich ethnic mix of children that also caters for up to 10 pupils in our Enhanced Resource Unit, who are integrated into the mainstream school. We are a recently built, improving multi-cultural primary school set in large grounds with a caring ethos and a friendly, committed team.

Arboretum Primary School has a commitment to a high class education for all our pupils. We are a two form entry school (45 pupils per year group) with a waiting list for most year groups.
We are looking for someone who:
• has proven leadership skills and can manage a range of initiatives
• is able to commit to the highest of standards
• has vision and integrity and leads by example
• is an excellent teacher, who has had consistently successful classroom practice across the primary age range
• sets high expectations for all pupils and is dedicated to achieving the highest level of attainment and behaviour for all pupils
• has highly effective organisational, managerial and interpersonal skills and the ability to lead the curriculum to ensure that it is accessible and inclusive for all pupils
• has the ability to inspire our pupils and engage our parents and carers
• is a good team player
• is committed to helping to take our school forward to further achievement and success
