This is a fantastic opportunity to join Chorley Council’s Development Control team. Following a restructure we wish to strengthen our team to deal with significant levels and complexity of applications within the Borough.

If you are committed to delivering an excellent service and have a customer service focus we would like to hear from you. You will need enthusiasm and confidence in securing high quality design and the best outcome for our Borough.

As a Principal Planner you will be responsible for dealing with major planning applications and appeals and provision of pre-application advice on major planning projects. You will also be responsible for day to day management and supervision of staff, present information to Councillors, provide advice to elected members and contribute to service improvement. You will be an RTPI member, computer literate and knowledge of Uniform (CAPS) would be beneficial.
