The Brakenhale School is a friendly 11-19 secondary school with a strong commitment to high standards for students and staff, and a school where every child does matter. We are looking for One to One English and Maths Tutors to work within the One to One Tuition Programme after school at The Brakenhale School.
What is the One to One Tuition Programme?
The Government-funded One to One Tuition Programme has been created to provide additional support in Mathematics and/or English for children who are not currently reaching their potential. It has been set up to be delivered alongside classroom teaching as extra help for pupils.

Who is eligible to be a tutor?
- someone with UK Qualified Teacher Status
- NQTs in the summer before they attain QTS
- an overseas qualified teacher eligible to teach in schools in England (for whom One to One tuition falls within the definition of ‘supplementary employment’)
- those with teaching and subject specific qualifications from the HE or FE sectors.
