We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated and conscientious Education Welfare Officer to deal with matters relating to school attendance, absenteeism and to contribute to our wider service delivery of the Children’s and Young People’s Plan.
The Education Welfare Service provides a high quality service to children, their families and schools, aiming for all pupils to attend school, stay safe, enjoy and achieve and benefit from their educational opportunities.
There will be opportunities to work with a wide age range; to promote and contribute to educational development and inclusion; to establish close partnership with local schools and to develop effective liaison with other professionals.
