Assistant Engineer - Transport Monitoring & Development

In this new role within our Transport Implementation Group your core responsibility will be the management and running of the Council’s automatic traffic monitoring system, as well as arranging and recording other transport surveys. You’ll also get involved in helping to develop transport strategy, transport projects, and wider monitoring and reporting of transport statistics.

You’ll carry out physical data collection from the permanent roadside traffic flow recorders, and use your report writing and IT skills to upload the data and produce both computer generated and hand-written technical reports on travel statistics and trends.

Training will be given on the travel monitoring system and other core training courses will be provided. You’ll need to already hold a Higher National Certificate or equivalent, a full driving licence, and have the drive to help us deliver better transport for Bracknell Forest.
